AMPP Professionals are trainers, groomers, veterinarians, dog walkers, and pet sitters.  Within each of these fields there is a different level of regulation--some are very well regulated and others have no regulation at all. Our AMPP professional referrals, however, all meet a minimum standard of experience, agree to maintain a field-appropriate level of insurance, are committed to continuing education, have signed our Code of Conduct, and understand and implement the Least Invasive Minimally Aversive standard (LIMA) when handling the animals they work with.

Prior to becoming an AMPP professional and being added to our referral list, an application must be filled out and will be reviewed by our board and membership committee.  Each applicant must meet a minimum level of experience, submit the required written documents (case studies, training plans, curriculum, or statement about how they use LIMA in their field), and sign our code of ethics.
